Summer Itch? Pollen Allergy? Post Fire Suet?
In Northern California we have so many different reasons for pets to be itchy. Bacteria, yeast and multiple types of plant
pollens during our warm summers get trapped in pet fur and cause irritation.
Fire season with its residual dust and ash Wood ash is alkali, like caustic soda, lye. That is why pioneers used them to make soap, but the residue on pet's paw pads and skin causes burning and needs to be washed off frequently during fire seasons.
A weak solution of white vinegar and/or baking soda can also be soothing as a leave on rinse.
In Posh Pet Salon I use Bragg's Organic Apple Cider Vinegar, it's raw and unfiltered "With the mother" Aged in Wood and made from whole organic apples. It's the best!!!
